Hetzner's scaling story is vertically predictable but geographically locked — four server series and three LB tiers provide clear upgrade paths within a location, but volumes, Floating IPs, and networks being location-bound means capacity planning must be per-location with no transparent cross-location horizontal scaling, forcing multi-location architectures to be explicitly designed rather than elastically discovered.
