Azure Spot VMs combined with VMSS Flexible orchestration form a viable mixed-instance production workload model: the compound constraint envelope (eviction with ~30s notice, separate quota pool, no B-series, no conversion after creation) is manageable when Flexible orchestration mixes Spot and on-demand instances in the same scale set for graceful degradation under eviction pressure.
